Y SAIL BOAT... PUMKIN C & C TRAPPER 27

I proved the old adage that "it's an ill wind that blows no good" by acquiring a 27 foot sailing yacht, PUMKIN which hurricane Georges bounced off a few rocks and tangled up with a tree in Seatons. As you might imagine, I got a good deal on it. PUMKIN is a boat that I wanted to acquire even prior to the storm. She won BEST ANTIGUAN BOAT, and BEST CARIBBEAN BOAT, and the B CLASS, and was second in CRUISING III in ANTIGUA SAILING WEEK 1998.... one of the largest regattas in the world.

The following files document what a joy it is to own a boat in the Caribbean. The Antigua Sailing Week 99 pages are my favorites but the others paint a full picture of the journey we (PUMKIN, sailing partner Doug & me), have made together.
