Welcome
to.....
Antigua, West
Indies.
....my Caribbean home.
I put this page together to show you a little
something of the Caribbean island which has been my home since
1985...... and to invite you to visit us some time. Here sun, sea and
sand are a part of everyday life and the hardest decision you will
have to make is whether to go snorkling or have another pina
colada.

Antigua has been unusually
blessed with a fine blend of both
coral and volcanic
formations. Created eons ago, this resulted
in a long, scalloped coastline all around the island and each bay can
boast deliciously white sand. With over 360 beaches packed into only
108 square miles we have a different beach for every day of the year
and none of them are ever very far away. Here you can afford the
luxuries of privacy and tranquility in beautiful settings that are
ideal for picnics, barbecues...... or simply relaxing.
Our waters are clean, clear and perfect for
rejuvenating the body and cleansing the soul. While we're on the
subject let's not overlook our watersports. Besides swimming and
snorkelling you can choose from sailing, deep sea fishing, water
skiing, windsurfing, power boating and jet skiing (if you must... us
sailors are not fond of stinkpots) and lets not forget Scuba
diving..... the very best way to see the ocean. If you're into scuba
check out my good friend
Big
John of Dive Antigua.
For the classic desert island you should visit our
sister island
Barbuda.
Made primarily of coral, it is particularly renowned for an abundance
of long, sweeping, pristine,
pinky-white
sand
beaches. Since the island is totally
uncommercialised an organised day trip is recommended.

Of course
there's more to
Antigua
than beaches. The links below explore a few other highlights of my
paradise home and the Antigua link page will take you to other sites
that explore the possibilities in more detail.
